Ferlat, Pinot Grigio "PG Rosa", Friuli, Italy 2022
{organic} Pinot Grigio
APRICOT & EARL GREY TEA, DELICATE FLORALS & CANDY
Ramato (from the Italian word ‘rame’ meaning ‘copper’) is a historical winemaking style specifically using Pinot Grigio grapes in the Friuli-Venezia-Giulia region (although becoming increasingly popular in other parts of the world), made in the same way as your average orange or rosé, the difference is the pinkish-grey hued Pinot Grigio grapes impart a coppery, amber color. The “PG Rosa” is deep ruby amber with gentle florals and candied notes on the nose, juicy red berries, apricot, and a minerally vein runs throughout, with a lingering earl grey tea finish.
Serving Suggestion: Smoked turkey legs served w/ brussel sprouts and speck gratin. Winter squash gnocchi w/ brown butter and sage. Chicken tetrazzini.
