This winery’s land was bestowed to the Rava family by Genoese aristocracy and their wine is bottled with the "La Casaccia" royal seal. The lesser-known Fresia is closely related to Nebbiolo and has a similar brightness and fragrance while remaining lighter, gentler, and more approachable. Freshly cut herbs and violets on the nose are followed up by flavors of tart strawberries and raspberries that accentuate the acidity and bold tannins.
Serving Suggestion: Veal piccata w/ fried capers. Roast chicken w/ thyme & onions. Risotto w/ zucchini, parmesan, snow peas, & fresh mint.
