Pinot Gris (Grigio) is native to France, but the grape arguably reaches its zenith in Friuli in the far northeast of Italy, where it tends towards a richer, more expressive style. Visintini’s version bursts from the glass with eye-catching color and autumnal perfume. Refreshing Korean pear-like texture from extended skin contact and pinkish, plum-apricot fruit interwoven with mountain stream minerality make this a real treat for the senses.
Serving Suggestion: Shrimp & porcini risotto w/ olive oil & garlic. Grilled tofu w/ red cabbage, radish, carrot, & sesame oil/chili-garlic seasoning.
