Trebbiano (aka Ugni Blanc in France) is known for producing wine that is refreshing, acidic, with good body, but fairly neutral; it’s most commonly seen blended, as well as providing the base for some of the best Cognac and Armagnac. However, our warming planet is shifting wine traditions and techniques all over the world, and extreme ripening in 2020 has imbued this solo act with more structure and aromatic notes (and alcohol!) than we normally encounter.
Serving Suggestion: White pizza w/ mozzarella & kale. Panzanella. Creamy sun-dried tomato & garlic butter shrimp, mussels, & scallops w/ linguine.
