{organic} 100% Gruner Veltliner

ZESTY! LITHE CITRUS & PEACH, WHITE PEPPER & GOOSEBERRY
Northeastern Austria’s Weinviertel (translating to “wine quarter”) is the Central European nation’s largest area of wine production, in fact accounting for half of all acreage planted to Grüner Veltliner. This offering from Martin Minkowitsch (representing the 15th generation of the estate) is classic for the massive, Slovakia & Czech-bordering DAC, brimming with restrained citrus & stone fruit, an almost arugula-like pepperiness, and unexpected gooseberry undercurrents that may gently recall Sauvignon Blanc.
Serving Suggestion: Open-faced sandwich of smoked salmon & Emmental on rye w/ quail egg, parsley, & alfalfa sprouts. Cucumber salad w/ dill, white wine vinegar, olive oil, & black pepper.
