WILD BLACKBERRIES & BRIGHT PLUM, EARTHY SPICE, LAVENDER WHISPERS Christine Dupuy had just finished oenology school with very little experience in winemaking when she took over the estate in ’93 after her father’s unexpected passing, becoming the youngest winemaker in Madiran. She’s since expanded the estate’s 6 hectares of vines to 20, gotten certified in organic farming practices, and earned her reputation as a winemaker with serious finesse. The Tan-Nat is a rare, restrained expression of the historic Madiran grape, no sulfites added! Serving Suggestion: Baby back ribs off the grill w/ dr. pepper barbecue sauce. Summer squash carpaccio.
