Forlorn Hope, "Queen of the Sierra" Amber (orange wine), Calaveras County, California 2019
Verdelho, Albariño, Muscat, and Chardonnay
GINGER TEA-ESQUE, MANGO, PEACHY. TANNIC, #NOFILTER, WILD & FUN.
This amber baddie is as natural as it gets! Organically farmed in the Sierra Foothills, hand-picked grapes are spontaneously fermented with native yeasts. The finished product is unfiltered and unfined. The resulting dry, medium-bodied elixir balances citrus fruits, Rainier cherry, apricot, slight bitterness and bright acids. The grippy tannins really tie the wine together; choose your own adventure and enjoy chilled or at room temp.
Serving Suggestion: Non-spicy Asian food is a knockout combo! Lamb biryani or kebabs; pickled foods. Caramelized Jerusalem artichokes w/ walnuts, farro, & feta.
