Saumur-Champigny produces some of the most delicate, aromatic Cabernet Franc out there, and Patrice and Philippe Duveau’s wines have long been among our favorites from this part of the Loire Valley. Its gentle tannins, subtle mineral, and lush purple-red fruit are subtle and seductive, all supported by a potpourri of sweet tobacco and herbs. It’s perfect for lovers of elegant, intriguing, medium-bodied reds, and tastes fantastic lightly chilled.
Serving Suggestions: Baked oregano-rubbed wings w/ tzatziki. Broiled Brussels sprouts w/ Worcestershire & balsamic vinegar. Farro w/ mushrooms, parmesan, goat cheese, asparagus, & a squeeze of lemon. Chicken fricassee.
