Saumur-Champigny produces some of the most delicate, and aromatic Cabernet Franc out there, and Patrice and Philippe Duveau’s wines have long been among our favorites from this part of the Loire Valley. Its gentle tannins, subtle mineral, and lush purple-red fruit are subtle and seductive, all supported by a potpourri of sweet tobacco and herbs. It’s perfect for lovers of elegant, intriguing, medium-bodied reds, and tastes fantastic when lightly chilled.
Serving Suggestion: Grilled oregano-rubbed chicken wings w/ tzatziki. Broiled Brussels sprouts w/ Worcestershire & balsamic vinegar. Farro w/ mushrooms, parmesan, & asparagus.
