This rare, one-man show from Nebbiolo’s kinder, gentler offspring, Vespolina, is bright, firm, and silky yet delicately sawtoothed with tannin. Zesty pomegranate, black fruit, and blood orange vibes dominate while spicy, slightly wintery notes round out this offering from Gilberto Boniperti, whose Grandfather’s words, “Go out in the vineyards, there is always something to do there,” foreshadowed his ceaseless passion.
